Alhaji Taofik Shodunke (MRPharmS, MIPharmM) is an esteemed member of the 83/88 Class Set of Mayflower School, bearing the student number 6038. He pursued his initial degree from the University of Lagos/College of Medicine and furthered his education by obtaining postgraduate degrees from the University of Reading, UK.
In 2018, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the 83/88 set’s graduation, Taofik significantly contributed to the Grotto, a school canteen constructed and donated to Mayflower School by the Class Set. He has maintained a commendable social and financial standing with his Class Set both in Nigeria and the UK, where he resides. With a flourishing career spanning over 25 years, Taofik is a seasoned Pharmacist, a Serial Entrepreneur, a Motivational Speaker, and a Community Leader. His service extends to various professional and community organisations in both Nigeria and the UK, where he has served in multiple capacities.
Taofik’s leadership roles include a more than 7-year tenure as a member and later chairman of the Local Pharmaceutical Committee Oxfordshire, UK. He also served as the inaugural chairman of the Nigerian community in Oxfordshire, UK, a role he held for over 7 years. Currently, he is the Imam of Nigerian Muslims in Oxford, UK and a member of the Nigerian Leaders Forum. His entrepreneurial spirit is evident as he holds directorship positions in numerous companies including KOASTA Limited, Optimal Care Services, The Staleys Company, Pure Heart Farm Limited, and Ishanbi Limited, amongst others. Moreover, he is a trustee of various charitable organisations within and beyond the UK such as NIMAO, NICOOX, IQRAH, Oxford Community Action, AFRIKAN Community Heritage, and AL-Lateef Muslim College.
Over the years, Taofik has been the recipient of numerous Professional Merit and Service to Community awards, showcasing his unyielding efforts to better society. On a personal note, Taofik is happily married and blessed with children.
